Descriptiontext

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited and India's largest telecommunications operator, commercially launched in September 2016. As of FY26 it serves a base of 524.4 million subscribers (including 268 million 5G users), controls 60% of India's wireless data traffic, and operates JioAirFiber across 7,722 towns with 13 million connected homes. The platform spans four pillars: consumer connectivity (4G/5G mobile plans, JioFiber, JioAirFiber, international roaming across 150+ countries), consumer apps and devices (MyJio, JioSaavn, JioMart, JioGames, JioFinance, JioTag, JioBharat V4, JioBook, Jio Set-Top Box, Jio TeleFrame), enterprise digital infrastructure (JioBusiness — connectivity, voice & collaboration, JioCloud on Azure, JioCX CPaaS, JioRaksha security, JioThings IoT, JioPC virtual desktop), and emerging AI/satellite infrastructure (Reliance Intelligence, JioBrain, Jio Call Agent, Jio-SES JV, planned sovereign LEO constellation).

The technology foundation is an in-house, all-IP 5G StandAlone network on which Jio has built proprietary digital platforms (JioBrain, JioTV+, MyJio, JioPC) and over 6,800 PCT patent filings (ranked 20th globally by WIPO in 2025). Revenue is generated through a multi-stream model: subscription recurring (prepaid/postpaid mobile, JioFiber/JioAirFiber home broadband, JioPC), managed services (enterprise connectivity, JioCloud, IoT, security), usage-based CPaaS (JioCX), hardware sales (JioBharat, JioTag, JioBook, set-top boxes), and advertising/content (JioSaavn, JioTV+, JioHotstar). FY26 consolidated revenue reached approximately ₹1.47 lakh crore (~$15.6 billion, +14.6% YoY) with EBITDA of ₹76,225–76,255 crore at a 51.9% margin and PAT of ₹30,049 crore (the first time crossing ₹30,000 crore). Capex intensity has dropped from ~49% of revenue in FY24 to ~23% in FY26 as the business shifted from network build-out to operational efficiency.

The company is preparing what would be India's largest-ever IPO — Jio Platforms Limited filed a DRHP with SEBI on June 19, 2026 for a ~$4 billion (₹37,700 crore) fresh issue at a target valuation of $117–180 billion. Strategic shareholders Meta (9.98%), Google (7.73%), Silver Lake, KKR, Vista Equity Partners, Saudi PIF, Mubadala, TPG, General Atlantic and ADIA retained their stakes through the IPO. Distribution is omni-channel — jio.com self-serve, MyJio app, Reliance Digital stores, JioMart, Jio Customer Associates, authorized aggregators, JioBusiness field sales for enterprise and government, and a hyperscale infrastructure lease channel exemplified by the 168 MW Meta data center in Gujarat. The customer base spans individual consumers, SMBs, large enterprises, government entities, hyperscalers and students, with active expansion into AI (Reliance Intelligence with NVIDIA GB300), sovereign LEO satellites ($10–15B plan), 5G stack exports and full 5G migration by 2030.

The platform spans four pillars: consumer connectivity (4G/5G mobile plans, JioFiber, JioAirFiber, international roaming across 150+ countries), consumer apps and devices (MyJio, JioSaavn, JioMart, JioGames, JioFinance, JioTag, JioBharat V4, JioBook, Jio Set-Top Box, Jio TeleFrame), enterprise digital infrastructure (JioBusiness — connectivity, voice & collaboration, JioCloud on Azure, JioCX CPaaS, JioRaksha security, JioThings IoT, JioPC virtual desktop), and emerging AI/satellite infrastructure (Reliance Intelligence, JioBrain, Jio Call Agent, Jio-SES JV, planned sovereign LEO constellation).

The technology foundation is an in-house, all-IP 5G StandAlone network on which Jio has built proprietary digital platforms (JioBrain, JioTV+, MyJio, JioPC) and over 6,800 PCT patent filings (ranked 20th globally by WIPO in 2025). Revenue is generated through a multi-stream model: subscription recurring (prepaid/postpaid mobile, JioFiber/JioAirFiber home broadband, JioPC), managed services (enterprise connectivity, JioCloud, IoT, security), usage-based CPaaS (JioCX), hardware sales (JioBharat, JioTag, JioBook, set-top boxes), and advertising/content (JioSaavn, JioTV+, JioHotstar). FY26 consolidated revenue reached approximately ₹1.47 lakh crore (~$15.6 billion, +14.6% YoY) with EBITDA of ₹76,225–76,255 crore at a 51.9% margin and PAT of ₹30,049 crore (the first time crossing ₹30,000 crore). Capex intensity has dropped from ~49% of revenue in FY24 to ~23% in FY26 as the business shifted from network build-out to operational efficiency.

The company is preparing what would be India's largest-ever IPO — Jio Platforms Limited filed a DRHP with SEBI on June 19, 2026 for a ~$4 billion (₹37,700 crore) fresh issue at a target valuation of $117–180 billion. Strategic shareholders Meta (9.98%), Google (7.73%), Silver Lake, KKR, Vista Equity Partners, Saudi PIF, Mubadala, TPG, General Atlantic and ADIA retained their stakes through the IPO. Distribution is omni-channel — jio.com self-serve, MyJio app, Reliance Digital stores, JioMart, Jio Customer Associates, authorized aggregators, JioBusiness field sales for enterprise and government, and a hyperscale infrastructure lease channel exemplified by the 168 MW Meta data center in Gujarat. The customer base spans individual consumers, SMBs, large enterprises, government entities, hyperscalers and students, with active expansion into AI (Reliance Intelligence with NVIDIA GB300), sovereign LEO satellites ($10–15B plan), 5G stack exports and full 5G migration by 2030.
