Descriptiontext

Knest Manufacturers LLP, operating under the K-nest brand, is an Indian construction technology company founded in 2014 by Nitin Mittal and headquartered in Pune, with a registered office in Mumbai. The company designs, manufactures, and sells aluminium formwork systems and complementary construction technology products — including the core K-nest Aluminium Formwork, K-nest Perimeter Safety Screen (PSS), K-nest Core Climbing System (CCS), K-nest Vertix, K-nest Stratix, K-nest Table Formwork, K-nest Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), K-nest Panel Retractor System (PRS), and the Dr. O.W.L. mobile laboratory. These systems collectively target the full construction lifecycle from foundation to finishing, with the reusable aluminium panels positioned as a sustainable alternative to traditional timber formwork, addressing timber demand reduction, construction waste minimization, and resource efficiency in Indian construction. The core technology is modular, reusable aluminium formwork systems designed for repeated deployment across projects, complemented by hydraulic safety screens, climbing systems, vertical construction solutions, and pre-engineered structural components.

The company serves real estate developers and construction companies in India and is expanding into the Middle East, with an upcoming manufacturing facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The stated value proposition is functional efficiency (faster construction cycles, ready-to-paint finish) combined with environmental sustainability (reduced timber and river sand consumption, lower construction waste). Knest's manufacturing footprint has scaled from a 5,000 sqft unit in 2014 to approximately 10 lakh sqft (1 million sqft) currently, supporting a workforce of 501–1,000 employees.

Knest operates a direct sales-led GTM motion targeting enterprise construction developers, with revenue generated primarily through hardware sales of formwork systems and related construction technology components. Pricing is not publicly disclosed and is handled through a dedicated sales contact. In August 2025, Lighthouse Funds invested Rs 300 crore (approximately $35 million) in a growth equity round to support R&D, manufacturing capacity expansion, and sustainability initiatives, and to enable entry into new product categories. The company describes itself as an Indian multinational serving developers worldwide, though the bulk of operations remain India-centric with the Riyadh facility representing the first international production footprint.
