Descriptiontext

Lonsdale Capital Partners LLP is a London-based private equity firm founded in 2008 by Alan Dargan, Ross Finegan, and David Gasparro, operating exclusively at the lower end of the UK and Ireland mid-market. The firm invests £10–20 million in companies with £2–7 million of EBITDA, with stated focus on the Business Services and Healthcare sectors, and is open to both majority and minority structures. It takes board seats in all portfolio companies and pursues buy-and-build strategies in fragmented markets.

The firm closed its debut institutional fund, Lonsdale Capital Partners L.P., at the £110 million hard-cap in April 2016, with 80% of commitments from pension funds, fund of funds, and family offices, and 20% from high net worth individuals. Capital is sourced through a lean 8–10 person team in London, supplemented by a professional network of advisors, intermediaries, and repeat co-investors such as Souter Investments and DunPort Capital Management. Since fund close, the firm has executed 14 disclosed bolt-on acquisitions and built active platforms in healthcare (Todays Dental, Total Dental Ireland, Senior Home Care Group, Atlantic Healthcare Alliance), professional services (GIA, Infrata), manufacturing (Elite Electronics, Nucore Group, Horseware Ireland), and other sectors.

Revenue is generated through conventional private equity fund management economics — recurring management fees on the £110m fund plus carried interest from exits. The firm has disclosed six realizations returning between 2.5x and 4.5x invested capital, including a 4.5x exit of OEG Offshore, a 3x/75% IRR exit of Global Yachting Group via AIM, and 3x exits of Amerplast and CJ Fallon (4x+). The firm is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and has no parent company or external controlling shareholder.
