Descriptiontext

HAECO Americas provides heavy aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services through two dedicated facilities in the Eastern United States. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, the company operates 12 hangars split between its Greensboro site and its Lake City, Florida facility, delivering airframe heavy maintenance to commercial airlines and aviation operators. The workforce of more than 1,600 people — approximately 30% of whom are military veterans — supports comprehensive base maintenance operations.

The company's revenue model is built on long-term, multi-year enterprise contracts negotiated individually with commercial airline customers. Services are delivered as managed services at the company's fixed facilities under multi-year commitments that transfer with ownership. Following its November 3, 2025 acquisition by AAR Corp for $78 million in cash, HAECO Americas now operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary within AAR Corp's portfolio and forms the core of AAR's positioning as the largest independent aircraft MRO provider in North America. Multi-year customer contracts worth over $850 million in aggregate value were secured as part of the transaction, providing substantial near-term revenue visibility for the combined entity. Integration is progressing ahead of the initially planned 12-to-18-month schedule, with management guiding margin recovery by fiscal Q3 2027.

Prior to the AAR transaction, HAECO Americas operated as a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based HAECO Group and was divested as part of that parent's portfolio rationalization. Distribution is concentrated in the Eastern United States, with the North Carolina and Florida facilities serving as the operational backbone for serving US commercial airline customers. The company's value proposition centers on heavy maintenance capacity, base maintenance slot availability, and a skilled veteran-heavy workforce — directly addressing fleet sustainment constraints and slot scarcity faced by commercial operators in North America.
