Founded in 1953 as Don Weaver Heating & Air and rebranded to SameDay in 1988, the company delivers HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repair, installation, and maintenance services to homeowners across Utah's Wasatch Front, covering 16+ cities including Ogden, Layton, Sandy, West Jordan, Provo, Orem, Park City, Lehi, and Bountiful. Core service lines are organized into Heating (furnace repair/replacement/tune-ups, heat pumps, thermostats, indoor air quality), Cooling (AC repair/replacement/tune-ups, ductless mini-splits), Plumbing (tank and tankless water heaters, water softeners, sewer/drain services), and Electrical (panel upgrades, EV charging, generators, smart home installation, surge protection). The company is a Lennox Premier Partner, also offering Mitsubishi and Daikin equipment, and maintains an A+ BBB rating with 8,500+ Google reviews at 4.8/5. Revenue is generated through three streams: transactional service, repair, and installation fees; the recurring Green Shield Membership at $24.99/month that bundles annual tune-ups, priority scheduling, and 10% discounts; and facilitated 0% APR financing for 12-18 months through partner SvcFin. Go-to-market is sales-led direct-to-consumer, with 24/7 emergency phone-based booking, online scheduling, and dispatch of certified, background-checked, licensed, and insured field technicians. The company employs 11-50 staff and operates from a single Salt Lake City headquarters at 3020 S W Temple St, with no disclosed external investors or parent company.
