Descriptiontext

Opportunity Development Centers, Inc. (ODC) is a private, not-for-profit agency founded in 1965 and headquartered in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. The organization provides customized disability services — employment, mental health, life enrichment, community day services, corporate guardianship, peer mentoring, livable communities technology, and children's long-term support — to more than 1,000 individuals annually across 21 Wisconsin counties, delivered through seven physical locations spanning Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Merrill, Stevens Point, Waupaca, Wausau, and Wautoma.

ODC operates an integrated portfolio of social enterprises that both fund the mission and create training and employment opportunities for participants. These include Milkweed Market (a retail storefront), Ink Splash (a printing services brand), Managed Warehouse Services (EDI-based fulfillment, inventory management, temperature-controlled warehousing, and multi-carrier shipping at Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids), Wood Fabrication & Components (CNC panel cutting, custom crates/pallets, door components), and Electronics Recycling. ODC Government Services, Inc. (ODCGS), a 501(c)(4) related corporation formed in 2001, handles government contracting and vinyl contracts, while the ODC Foundation (established 2019) manages permanently restricted endowment assets.

ODC's revenue model is multi-stream and not publicly disclosed. Operating funding flows from Family Care Managed Care Organizations, the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, county governments, and United Way for direct services; social enterprises generate B2B and retail revenue; and donations, annual appeals, grants, fundraising events, and planned giving provide fundraising income. Distribution is regional and direct, via physical offices and community outreach, with a sales-led GTM motion that relies on relationships with funding organizations and referral networks. Technical infrastructure is modest: standard operational systems for warehouse services and a website built on Squarespace, with no proprietary AI, platform, or patent portfolio identified.
