Road Runner

What Road Runner does

Road Runner S.à r.l. is a Luxembourg-headquartered moving and relocation services provider founded in 1999 by Claude Poliart. The company operates an integrated service ecosystem comprising residential moving (individuals), commercial moving (SMEs and offices up to 20 employees), same-day and next-day express delivery, secure storage in 24/7-monitored maritime containers, and equipment rental (hoists and utility vehicles, both with operators). Service coverage spans Luxembourg, the Greater Region (Belgium, France, Germany), and selected international destinations with Switzerland as a dedicated specialized corridor requiring customs documentation.

The business model is predominantly transactional and quote-based, with three consumer tiers (Standard, Comfort, Premium) and bespoke B2B pricing. Storage is the only recurring-revenue stream, billed per m³ or per container on flexible duration. Go-to-market is direct sales-led: free quote requests via the company website (roadrunner.lu), supplemented by phone, email, WhatsApp, and on-site audits for B2B clients. The company employs 12-15 staff under a family-oriented culture; operational leadership transitioned to Bénédicte Da Silva in 2022, with the founder's son Jonathan Poliart being groomed as successor.

Road Runner has no disclosed proprietary technology platform, no external funding, and operates exclusively as a private, family-owned Luxembourg S.à r.l. with registration number B72610. Distribution is entirely direct with no third-party resellers. The company's primary technical assets are its fleet of moving vehicles, certified lifting equipment, and container storage infrastructure in the Greater Region.
