Descriptiontext

KrishiKalpa Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit organization incorporated on 15 September 2020 in India, operating across Karnataka with offices in Bengaluru, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, and Hubballi. The foundation targets three primary constituencies: small and marginal farmers (especially in drought-prone regions like Vijayapura), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and rural/agriculture entrepreneurs in the Kalyana Karnataka region. Its programs are organized into two interconnected tracks. The first is a five-stage startup pipeline branded the Agri Innovation Center of Excellence (Jigyasa for awareness, Udgama for a 3-6 month fellowship targeting 100-150 fellows per district, Prerana for a 12-week pre-incubation cohort, Vikaas for incubation, and Gati for acceleration and scaling). The second is the FPO Acceleration Program, which transforms high-potential FPOs into market-driven enterprises through capacity building, direct market linkages, procurement management, and value addition, alongside the Ksheera Pilot Project for dairy development in selected Vijayapura villages. Quantified outcomes cited include Devadurga FPO's turnover growing from ₹35 lakh to ₹89 lakh and its first-ever supply of 9 truckloads of paddy and 4,000 bags to local mills.

The foundation does not operate proprietary technology platforms; the source material explicitly classifies it as an agricultural development and entrepreneurship support organization rather than a technology company. Its operational tooling consists of structured program curricula, field-driven playbooks, and on-ground engagement with beneficiary communities rather than software products, APIs, or data products. No AI/ML capabilities, integrations, app listings, SDKs, MCP servers, or technical certifications are disclosed.

Commercially, KrishiKalpa does not generate revenue. It is funded through grants, CSR contributions, and institutional support from partners including NABARD (scaled pilot across 18 districts), Akshayakalpa Organic (dairy knowledge partner), BLDE University (incubation infrastructure), Government of Karnataka, Startup Karnataka, and K-tech. The four co-founders (Prashanth Prakash as Chairman, Dr. Shyam Shetty, Manoj Kumar Bhatt, and Ashok Kumar Meda) lead the organization alongside CEO C M Patil, with an advisory board comprising Dr. Mohandas Pai (Aarin Capital, Manipal Group), Kris Gopalakrishnan (Axilor Ventures, Infosys co-founder), Prashanth Venkatappa (Bhoomi Organic Ventures), and Neelesh Bhatnagar (NB Ventures). Customer-facing distribution occurs through direct field operations, campus programs at engineering and degree colleges, and institutional partnerships; pricing is not applicable because programs are offered free of charge to beneficiaries.
