Kingdom Life Ministries

What Kingdom Life Ministries does

Kingdom Life Ministries is a Pentecostal church non-profit founded on December 15, 1999 in Mississauga, Ontario, by Bishop Barrington E. Smith and First Lady Kareen Smith. Affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World since February 2000, the ministry operates four campuses across three countries: the Mississauga headquarters, Refuge Temple Kingdom Life Ministries in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica (since 2012), Mount Zion Apostolic Kingdom Life Ministries in Saint Ann, Jamaica (since 2018), and Bethel Apostolic Kingdom Life Ministries in St. John's, Antigua (added late 2025). Core offerings consist of weekly worship services (Sunday morning, midday, and Christian Education; Wednesday prayer/Bible study; Thursday virtual Bible study; monthly Friday youth service), sacramental programs (baptism, child dedication), and a structured onboarding process ('Join The Family'). The ministry also runs ten+ auxiliary departments spanning Christian Education, Men's, Women's, Youth, Media, Music & Arts, Intercessory, Kingdom Care, Support Counselling, Kingdom Outreach, Usher, and Events. Beyond the parish, Bishop Smith serves as Diocesan Bishop of the P.A.W. Canada District Council (55th Episcopal District), overseeing 23 affiliated churches across Canada.

The organization's underlying technology is minimal and commodity-based: PayPal for donation processing, YouTube (@KingdomLifeMinistries) for Sunday service livestreaming and on-demand sermons, and Zoom for Thursday virtual Bible study. A phone-based prayer line is also offered Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 AM. No proprietary platform, app, or technical infrastructure is disclosed. Distribution is hybrid: in-person across the four physical campuses and digital via livestream and Zoom to a global audience.

The business model is donation-based and non-commercial. Revenue streams consist of voluntary tithes and offerings from congregants during services and online giving via PayPal, plus contributions to the K-LIFE Extended Hands Scholarship & Bursary Fund which supports post-secondary education for active members. No pricing tiers, fees, or commercial products are sold. The organization operates under the federally recognized Charity Service Faith Mission for tax-deductible humanitarian giving. Customer segments are community/member-based: general congregants, women (Her Grace conference), youth, men, student members, and underserved communities in Malawi served through mission initiatives. Financial information is not publicly disclosed and no venture funding has been raised.
