Tred Avon Yacht Club

What Tred Avon Yacht Club does

Tred Avon Yacht Club is a private, for-profit membership yacht club founded in 1931 and headquartered at 102 West Strand in Oxford, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore. The club provides waterfront facilities, boat mooring, organized sailing, yacht racing, training, and social programming to its members, serving yacht owners and sailing enthusiasts in the Tred Avon River community. Operational scale is small, with 11-50 employees and a single physical location in Maryland.

The club's core product is unified membership access to its marina, clubhouse, and event calendar; pricing and dues are not publicly disclosed and distribution is direct via phone or email inquiry. Its underlying technology stack is minimal: the public website and member-management workflow run on the Clubspot platform under a minor technology partnership, and the club has no mobile app, no public API, and no proprietary features beyond physical assets and community programming.

Tred Avon Yacht Club operates an essentially traditional membership-club business model. Revenue is generated through private dues, initiation fees, and ancillary member charges (mooring, food and beverage, event fees), none of which are disclosed in the source data. There is no parent company, no institutional investor, no M&A activity, and no leadership turnover disclosed; the entity functions as an independent, locally rooted private recreational club.
