What JCC Design Studio does

JCC Design Studio is a small, founder-led residential architecture practice headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, operating since at least 2006. The firm provides full-service residential architectural services including new home design, whole house renovations, single-room renovations, home additions, and specialized kitchen, bathroom, and pool house design, serving individual homeowners and families seeking design-driven custom residences in the Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain region of Tennessee and Georgia.

The studio is built around a small core team led by founder and architect Josh Cooper, with a Project Manager handling production of construction drawings and drafting standardization, and a Studio Administrator managing operations and client communications. Its competitive positioning emphasizes thoughtful, design-driven residential architecture delivered through close client partnerships grounded in careful listening, creative response, and transparency.

The business model is project-based professional services: the firm is engaged directly by residential clients on a per-project basis, with fees tied to project scope and complexity. Revenue is generated through quoted professional service fees for architectural design work, with no retainer, subscription, or recurring revenue components identified. New clients are acquired primarily through the firm's portfolio of completed residential projects, word-of-mouth referrals within the local market, and inbound inquiries via its website. The firm maintains a regional footprint focused on the Southeast USA, with no indication of digital distribution, licensing, or geographic expansion beyond adjacent markets in Tennessee and Georgia.
