What KNP Electrics does
KNP Electrics (legal entity KNP Electrics & Air) is a Perth, Western Australia-based electrical contracting firm founded in 2014 by Karl Parker. The company delivers a broad portfolio of residential and commercial electrical services including installation, maintenance, repairs, design, data cabling, fit outs, construction electrical, and 24/7 emergency response, supplemented by smart home automation built around the third-party Wiser platform and a full air conditioning (supply, install, repair, service) line.
The underlying technology stack is services-led rather than platform-led: KNP leverages approved-installer and advisory relationships with Schneider Electric (Club Clipsal, Wiser) and NECA standards to differentiate. Proprietary operational processes (pre-job walkthroughs, quality checklists, dedicated project managers, continuous improvement reviews) and the founder's 19 years of combined team experience are the principal technical and quality differentiators. Thermal imaging infrared scanning is offered as an advanced maintenance capability.
KNP operates a sales-led, project-based professional services model with quote-based pricing (free, no-obligation quotes) and revenue drawn from installation labour, service fees, hardware supply (notably air conditioning units), and recurring maintenance contracts. The customer base spans high-end residential homeowners, owner builders/renovators, bespoke builders and architects, commercial property agents, and commercial end customers across hospitality, retail, office, landscape, and construction sub-sectors, all served within the Perth metropolitan area via direct on-site service delivery.
