Colorado Space Solutions

What Colorado Space Solutions does

Colorado Space Solutions, operating under the consumer-facing DBA "Rocky Mountain Shutters, Shades & Closets," is a privately held custom home storage and window treatment company founded in 2004 and headquartered in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The company designs, fabricates, and installs bespoke storage systems for residential customers, with a product portfolio spanning custom closets, pantry organization, mudroom storage, garage cabinetry and wall systems, Murphy beds, and home office built-ins. Alongside its storage line, the company is a Hunter Douglas dealer offering the full range of custom window treatments including plantation shutters, roller and honeycomb shades, wood and composite blinds, vertical panels, and drapery, with smart/motorized and illuminated shade options layered on top.

The business operates a sales-led go-to-market model anchored by three retail showrooms in Cherry Creek (Denver), Park Meadows (Centennial), and Wheat Ridge, supplemented by free in-home design consultations, professional measurement, expert installation, and customer financing. Its service geography spans the Denver metropolitan area, broader Front Range communities, and Summit County. Revenue is generated primarily through one-time sales of custom-fabricated storage projects and window treatment installations to individual homeowners — a distributed-volume, project-based model with no disclosed enterprise contracts, recurring revenue streams, or institutional investor backing. The company is founder-owned (Scott Johnson) and operates with an 11-50 employee headcount across design, sales, fabrication, and installation functions.
