BlocK722

What BlocK722 does

Block722 is an Athens-based multidisciplinary architecture and interior design studio founded in 2009 by architect Sotiris Tsergas and interior designer Katja Margaritoglou. The studio delivers architecture, interior design, project delivery (using BIM/Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and 3ds Max), bespoke furniture and product design, and art consulting services, with an integrated in-house team of 50+ architects, designers, project managers, and engineers. Its design philosophy blends Scandinavian simplicity with Mediterranean culture through a "land-driven" methodology that responds to local topography, microclimate, light, and natural materials.

The studio serves high-net-worth private clients, luxury hospitality operators (including JW Marriott, Gundari, Casa Cook, Olea All Suite Hotel, and Meraviglia Slow Living), property developers (Pafilia, Malo Development, Fol Resort SA, Kyanon), and select commercial clients, with projects spanning Greek islands (Mykonos, Syros, Folegandros, Crete, Samos, Lefkada, Zakynthos), Athens, and Cyprus. Notable projects include Viglostasi Residence, O Lofos in Crete, JW Marriott Crete Resort and Spa, the Gundari resort on Folegandros, Iliso Suites in Athens, and the Lumen Residence penthouse.

The business model is project-based professional services, with revenue generated through direct client commissions for residential, hospitality, and commercial architecture. Pricing is custom-quoted per project scope, and the studio operates a sales-led and enterprise field-sales motion, supported by international design press coverage, an award-winning portfolio (Architizer, ArchDaily, AHEAD, Robb Report, Wallpaper*, Architectural Digest, IDA), and an active digital presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest). Block722 is privately held and founder-owned, with no disclosed institutional investment.
