6w Film und Fernsehproduktion

What 6w Film und Fernsehproduktion does

6w Film und Fernsehproduktion GmbH is a Münster-based film and television production company founded circa 1995 by TV editor Michael Nieberg and communications scientist Natascha Nieberg, both of whom continue to lead the firm. The company produces documentaries, magazine reports, and investigative pieces for all major German public broadcasters — Das Erste (ARD), ZDF, 3sat, WDR, and NDR — alongside image films, cinema spots, and promotional videos for corporate and institutional clients, and also provides on-demand EB/technik camera crew services within roughly a 100 km radius of Münster. Its underlying technology is conventional broadcast production equipment, with no proprietary platforms, APIs, or AI/ML components disclosed; delivery is via custom project quoting and direct client engagement rather than tiered or subscription pricing.

Operationally, 6w-Film runs as a small family-owned GmbH (registration HRB 5294, District Court of Münster) with a core team estimated at approximately 10-15 staff, including founders, an apprentice media designer, and a roster of camera operators and editors. Across three decades, Michael Nieberg is credited with producing more than 2,000 magazine reports and documentaries, including international reportage from Hong Kong, Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Hungary, Poland, Spain, France, Russia, Dubai, and the UK. Revenue is derived from three streams — TV production services, corporate/image film production, and EB camera-team services — each billed as professional services on a pay-as-you-go, custom-quote basis. The firm has no external shareholders, no subsidiaries, no disclosed funding rounds, and concentrates its commissioned output through long-standing broadcaster and institutional relationships rather than direct-to-consumer distribution.
