Dehradun defence college

What Dehradun defence college does

Dehradun Defence College (DDC) is a privately held, offline coaching institute headquartered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, operating for over 10 years under founder and director Mr. Mahendra Kukreja. The institute specializes in preparing candidates for Indian defence entrance examinations, delivering structured coaching for NDA (including post-10th foundation, post-8th early foundation, and a dedicated girls batch), CDS, AFCAT, CAPF, OTA, SSB Interview, RIMC, and Sainik School entry tests, plus the newer Agniveer/Agnipath pathway. Programs run across 6-month, 1-year, and multi-year foundation durations, and the institute offers add-on modules (crash course, dropper batch, hostel, physical training, library/computer lab, personality development) bundled into a residential, disciplined "fauji" environment with SSB studio, obstacle courses, and sports facilities.

The core technology layer is conventional: AV-equipped classrooms, a computer laboratory for online mock tests, a stocked library, and a WordPress-based website with lead-capture forms and a SabPaisa-integrated online registration portal. Distribution is entirely direct — students enroll via campus visits, phone calls across three numbers, WhatsApp inquiries, or the online form — with no third-party resellers or aggregator partnerships. The faculty consists of retired defence officers, ex-SSB assessors, and UPSC-qualified professionals, and the institute claims 85% first-attempt pass rate and 25+ candidates commissioned into NDA services during 2021-2024.

Revenue is generated exclusively through coaching and training fees from individual consumer students (B2C), with a subscription-style pricing model tied to course duration. Fee levels are not publicly disclosed; scholarships are offered for children of defence personnel and economically weaker students. The business is unfunded, operates from a single campus, and serves a North India catchment with hostel-backed national reach. No M&A, venture capital, or institutional ownership is evidenced.
