What PowerCampus 01 does

PowerCampus 01 GmbH (i.L.) is a German software vendor and consultancy specializing in administration tools for IBM PowerVM and AIX environments. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Glonn near Munich, the company builds command-line utilities that simplify interaction with IBM's Hardware Management Console (HMC), NIM, and AIX/VIOS subsystems. Its flagship product, the LPAR-Tool, abstracts complex HMC CLI operations into four commands and is distributed for AIX, Linux, and MacOS with reported execution times measured in fractions of a second; documentation references deployments of approximately 500 LPARs across 5 HMCs. The portfolio is extended by the Patch Automaton (automated AIX/VIOS fix and APAR management, including HIPER/SECURITY fix and CVE tracking) and the Migration Automaton (PowerVM workload migration), supported by a deep technical blog and documentation portal that has been continuously maintained since 2018.

The company's commercial model is product-led growth: the software is downloaded directly from powercampus.de with a bundled time-limited test license for evaluation, and commercial licensing is transacted via email. The target buyer is the IBM AIX / PowerVM system administrator persona inside enterprises that still operate IBM Power Systems (a shrinking but regulated and high-value segment including insurance and IT-services firms such as Generali, f-i-ts.de, liberatus.de, and pocabar.de). Pricing is not publicly disclosed, there is no sales team, no channel partner network, no app-store presence, and no disclosed funding, M&A, or external investment. The legal entity carries the '(i.L.)' suffix indicating liquidation status under German law, even though the website continues to publish content and host downloads through at least November 2025, suggesting an ongoing but uncertain operating posture.
