Emerging players

• European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools (ECLAS): European academic network for landscape architecture education. Comparable in stakeholder community (landscape architecture educators and practitioners) and partially overlapping event and publication activities with AIAPP, though focused on academia.

Direct peers

• Landscape Institute (UK): UK chartered body for landscape architects. Direct peer to AIAPP as a national professional association offering membership accreditation, events, publications, and policy advocacy to landscape architects in its country.
• Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekten (bdla): German association of landscape architects. Closely comparable European peer to AIAPP in membership structure, conference programming, and professional advocacy.
• Fédération Française du Paysage (FFP): French national federation of landscape architects. Direct European peer to AIAPP, sharing a Romance-language professional association model focused on members, events, and recognition of the landscape architecture discipline.
• AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects): Australian peak body for landscape architects. Comparable in structure and member-services model to AIAPP, including CPD, conferences, awards, and policy advocacy.

Regional players

• Architects' Association of Florence / regional Italian orders: Italian architects' professional orders and regional design associations. Adjacent rather than directly competitive with AIAPP, but serve overlapping Italian design professionals and compete for members' continuing-education engagement.

Broad incumbents

• IFLA (International Federation of Landscape Architects): The global umbrella body for national landscape architecture associations. Directly comparable to AIAPP at the international level — same professional-association model, same member constituency of landscape architects, and overlapping conference and policy activities.
• American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA): The largest national landscape architecture association in the world. Highly comparable to AIAPP in mission (member services, advocacy, continuing education, conferences) but operates at a far larger scale and with significantly more developed digital programming.
