Tanzschule Stanek

What Tanzschule Stanek does

Tanzschule Stanek is a Vienna-based dance school operating as a private limited company (Amazing 1010 GmbH) at Grashofgasse 1A, in the 1st district (Innere Stadt) of Vienna, Austria. The school provides in-person instruction in ballroom, Latin, and other dance styles, structured across a multi-level curriculum from Anfänger (beginner) through Platin (advanced), with specialized seasonal programs in summer and autumn and dedicated children's offerings (Kids Dance Days for ages 7+). The team includes at least three named certified dance masters and instructors (Maria Spavorova, Renate Wirtinger, and Matthias Leitner), supported by a broader roster of qualified Tanzlehrer. The school functions as a direct-to-consumer local service provider, with no other physical locations and no geographic expansion beyond Vienna.

The school monetizes through four revenue streams: recurring group dance course fees across skill levels, one-on-one private lessons sold as packages, event tickets (e.g., the Sommerparty - La dolce vita at €15 per person), and tiered membership packages (Mitgliedschaft) bundled with course access. All course fees are due prior to course start, and detailed pricing is gated behind a "Pakete und Preise" page requiring login or direct inquiry. Customers can book through an online Wix-based booking calendar, in-person at the school, or via written registration. The technology stack is deliberately lightweight: a Wix-hosted website with integrated booking, customer profile management, Google Maps API for location, and newsletter signup. Marketing channels are similarly modest — website content, organic Facebook and Instagram, email newsletter, gift cards, and community events. No AI, app, or proprietary software is in use.

Direct peers

• Tanzschule Schwebach: Established Vienna dance school offering group and private courses in ballroom, Latin, and wedding-dance preparation. Closely comparable on product mix (courses + private lessons + wedding focus), customer base, and Vienna-only geography.
• Tanzschule Ruzicka: Vienna-based dance school providing multi-level ballroom and Latin courses plus private lessons for adults and children. Comparable in curriculum structure, direct-to-consumer delivery, and single-city Austrian footprint.
• Tanzschule Elmayer: Vienna's historically most famous dance school (founded 1919), offering ballroom and Latin courses across skill levels and social dance events in central Vienna. Directly comparable as a premium, centrally located Viennese dance school serving the same adult social-dance segment.

Broad incumbents

• Fred Astaire Dance Studios: Large US-anchored international ballroom and Latin dance studio chain with group classes, private lessons, and wedding-dance programs. Comparable on product and customer profile, but operates a broad franchise model across many US and international markets rather than a single Vienna site.
• Arthur Murray International: Largest international ballroom dance studio franchise, offering group and private lessons globally. Comparable on core offering (ballroom/Latin instruction, private lessons, beginner-to-advanced progression) but operates at vastly greater scale and as a broad franchise incumbent rather than a single local school.
