Scale indicators2 records

Direct peers

• Austrian Biology Olympiad: Austrian national coordinator for the International Biology Olympiad (IBO). Performs the same function as EOES Austria for a different life-science discipline, with comparable structure: national selection, training, and international competition participation.
• Austrian Chemistry Olympiad: Austrian national committee coordinating participation in the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO). Directly parallel to EOES Austria in function — selecting, training, and accompanying Austrian secondary school students to international science olympiads in a specific scientific discipline.
• Austrian Physics Olympiad: National Austrian committee for the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO). Comparable as a peer Austrian science olympiad coordinator, organizing selection and training of Austrian secondary students for international physics competition, with similar ministerial backing and educational mission.
• EUSO Austria (European Union Science Olympiad Austria): National Austrian committee for the European Union Science Olympiad, a parallel international science competition. Directly comparable to EOES Austria as both serve the same purpose — coordinating Austrian secondary school student participation in European-level science competitions — and both are referenced from the EOES Austria website.
• Austrian Mathematical Olympiad: Austrian national organization for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). A direct Austrian peer olympiad committee with the same mission structure — talent identification, training, and international competition representation for Austrian secondary students.

Others

• Verein INIZIA: Parent non-profit educational association in Carinthia, Austria that runs EOES Austria operations. Directly connected to EOES Austria as its administrative host and legal framework, providing operational support.
• BIKO mach MINT Lakeside Park Klagenfurt: STEM educational program at Lakeside Park Klagenfurt providing lab and coursework access. A partner of EOES Austria supporting student STEM development; ecosystem-level peer rather than direct competitor.

Emerging players

• Austrian Computer Science Olympiad: Austrian national coordinator for informatics olympiad activities. Comparable as another Austrian STEM olympiad coordinator addressing secondary school talent in computing, partially overlapping with EOES Austria's STEM-talent-development mission.

Broad incumbents

• European Olympiad of Experimental Science (EOES) International: The parent international organization of the European Olympiad of Experimental Science. Comparable as the umbrella body under which EOES Austria operates, coordinating participating countries and competition logistics across Europe — broader in scope but the same overall mission.
• International Science Olympiad (IPhO/IChO/IBO/IMO) Coordinating Bodies: The international governing bodies that coordinate global science olympiads (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics). Comparable in scope and function to EOES International, but at the global rather than European level — broader incumbents operating the same category of science talent competition.
