What Glocal University - Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh does
Glocal University is a private, multi-disciplinary higher education institution located in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, established in 2012 and approved by the University Grants Commission under Sections 2(f) and 12(B). It operates across 14 constituent schools covering science and technology, business and commerce, law, pharmacy, agriculture, paramedical sciences, nursing, science, vocational studies, education, arts and social sciences, Ayurvedic medicine, and Unani medicine — collectively offering more than 100 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
The institution delivers education through a traditional, on-campus, residential model anchored by a 350+ acre campus with modern classrooms, laboratories, library, and hostel facilities, supported by 500+ faculty members (with select faculty recognized among the global top 2% of scientists in pharmacy). Its underlying technology is conventional: no proprietary digital learning platform, AI/ML features, or API/SDK offerings are disclosed. Distribution is direct, via campus visits, on-campus admission processes, and a dedicated Training & Placement Cell connecting students to named recruiters (Medanta, Autodesk, HCL Tech, Kormaan Pvt Ltd) and a broader associate-recruiter base.
Glocal's revenue is generated through recurring annual tuition and academic fees across its program portfolio, supplemented by hostel and residential fees; scholarship programs (Merit, Need-Based, Special, and the Sukanya Scholarship Scheme for female students from economically weaker backgrounds) are used as enrollment and DEI instruments. The GTM motion is sales-led, relying on physical campus tours, direct admission enquiries, and education-ranking participation for lead generation. No public revenue, funding rounds, or financial benchmarks are disclosed.
