What Ab Fine Art Foundry ltd does
AB Fine Art Foundry Ltd operates a specialized fine art bronze casting foundry from a single facility at 1 Fawe Street in East London. The company produces custom bronze and other-alloy castings for individual artists, commercial galleries, and artist estates, and additionally offers sculpture restoration services for public and private clients. Its commercial focus is bespoke, project-based commissions rather than standardized products, with each engagement scoped to the artist's vision and executed through traditional lost-wax / investment casting techniques including ceramic shell firing.
The company's technology stack is anchored by conventional bronze casting craft, with proprietary process expertise in shell firing and a recently installed energy-efficient furnace that delivers a 15% efficiency improvement over its 23-year-old predecessor. Its competitive position rests on a 45+ year operating heritage (trading as AB Fine Art since 1992, originally founded in 1977), a client roster that includes internationally renowned artists such as Tracey Emin, Anish Kapoor, and Antony Gormley, and institutional credits including work for Tate Modern and public memorial commissions.
Revenue mechanics are driven by direct sales engagement with artists, galleries, and estates, supported by a portfolio-style website, an active Instagram channel, and YouTube content. Pricing is not publicly disclosed; each project is quoted on a bespoke basis following direct inquiry. The company employs approximately 9 people, operates as a privately held UK limited company with no external investment, parent, or subsidiary relationships disclosed, and runs without a digital product, app, or API surface.
