Ballymun United Soccer Complex

What Ballymun United Soccer Complex does

Ballymun United Football Club (also known as "THE MUN") is an amateur football club founded in 1969 and headquartered at the Ballymun United Soccer Complex in North Dublin, Ireland (D11RY23). The club operates teams across three competitive structures: the Dublin District Schoolboy/Girls League (DDSL) for youth players, the Leinster Senior League (LSL) for senior players, and an Over-35s (O 35s) division, with 20% team number growth observed in 2024. It is affiliated with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and operates under a community-led mission to integrate and develop local youth through football.

The club's commercial activities consist of two revenue streams: recurring annual membership fees from players across its league teams, and rental income from its state-of-the-art clubhouse and bar, which is available for private functions and events. No pricing tiers or fee schedules are publicly disclosed. The club does not use any proprietary technology systems; its digital presence is limited to a basic informational website and a Facebook video channel.

Forward-looking infrastructure projects include seeking permissions to install 500 LUX floodlights on the main pitch, constructing a 2,500-seat stand on the clubhouse side, and fundraising for a full-size Astro pitch to absorb continued team growth. The club is also ambitious about competing at the highest level of Irish football, though no concrete timeline, funding source, or member base detail is disclosed.
