CITIPA - Colegio Oficial Graduados en Ingeniería Informática e Ingenieros Técnicos de Asturias

What CITIPA - Colegio Oficial Graduados en Ingeniería Informática e Ingenieros Técnicos de Asturias does

CITIPA (Colegio Oficial Graduados en Ingeniería Informática e Ingenieros Técnicos de Asturias) is the official professional college for Technical Computer Engineers in the Principality of Asturias, Spain. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Oviedo (C/ Posada Herrera Nº6, 1º Oficina 2, 33002 Oviedo, Asturias), the organization operates as a non-profit professional association under Spanish law with tax identification number CIF Q-3300289J. Its core function is the official credentialing, registration, and representation of IT engineers practicing within Asturias, alongside continuing education, professional networking, and regulatory compliance oversight. It serves a single, well-defined membership segment: colegiados registered under the Technical IT Engineer designation in Asturias.

The organization's underlying technology is administrative rather than product-oriented: it operates websites at citipa.org, citipa.es, and impulsotic.org using standard web tooling, maintains an automated personal data file registered with the Spanish Data Protection Registry, and provides member services through a portal, contact form, telephone, and email. It explicitly does not develop proprietary software, AI/ML, or APIs. Distribution is via a self-serve website portal, with some services free and others gated behind member registration, consistent with a hybrid free/registration model rather than transactional pricing.

CITIPA operates with approximately 10 employees and serves only the Principality of Asturias. Revenue mechanics are not disclosed but are consistent with member dues, registration fees, and modest service charges typical of Spanish colegios oficiales. There is no evidence of external funding, venture investment, acquisitions, partnerships, or material expansion activity; the entity is in a steady-state operating posture focused on regulatory representation and member service delivery for its defined regional constituency.
