Core offering

Civos (Civilsamhällets organisationer i samverkan) is presented as a Swedish civil society collaboration organization. No active operational content, products, services, or organizational description is available on the company website (civos.se), which currently displays only a parked domain page hosted by Perfect Sense AB (Webb.se). As a result, the actual offering cannot be verified beyond the name, which suggests umbrella/member-association functions for Swedish civil society organizations.

Broad incumbents

• Civicus: Global civil society alliance that aggregates and represents civil society organizations across regions. Comparable to Civos in mission (strengthening civil society through cooperation) but operates at international scale rather than national.
• Giva Sverige: Swedish umbrella organization for fundraising and grantmaking nonprofits, with active member programs, certification, and advocacy. Comparable as a Swedish civil society / nonprofit coordinating body, but with a stronger and currently active operating model than Civos.
• Independent Sector: US national membership organization for nonprofits, foundations, and corporate giving programs, focused on sector advocacy and research. Comparable in function as a cross-sector civil society convener, though at much larger scale.

Direct peers

• NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations): UK umbrella body for the voluntary and civil society sector, providing member services, policy advocacy, and sector research. Directly comparable to Civos as a national-level convener of civil society / voluntary organizations.
• Famna: Swedish independent civil society umbrella for social service-oriented member organizations. Closest direct domestic peer to Civos given shared Swedish geography and shared mission of convening nonprofit / civil society actors.
