What Copenhagen Dance Space does
Copenhagen Dance Space (CDS) is a Denmark-based dance education studio that provides in-person dance instruction for children and adults across beginner, advanced, and aspiring-professional skill levels. Its core offerings include the CDS Evening School (multi-level dance classes), a 1-Year Fast-Track Dance Education Program designed to prepare aspiring professional dancers and creative artists, the SIX Weekend Intensive for experienced dancers, and a Commercial Hip-Hop Education Program delivered in partnership with Allingham Dance Academy in Odense. The company operates two physical locations in Denmark — its headquarters studio in Copenhagen and a training academy in Odense — and uses a website-based application portal as its primary enrollment channel, supplemented by organic social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
Underlying delivery is conventional in-person instruction with no proprietary technology platform; the only digital infrastructure mentioned is the website's application form with video upload capability and a newsletter. The business model is direct-to-consumer professional services: revenue is generated from tuition for dance education programs and evening classes, complemented by an ancillary dancewear retail stream via the related entity Allingham.Store. Pricing is not publicly disclosed; enrollment is quote-based through website inquiry or application.
Copenhagen Dance Space was acquired by new owners Laila Allingham and Thomas Allingham and is now part of the A.D.C/Allingham Dance Copenhagen umbrella, leveraging 25 years of Allingham family dance school experience. The company self-describes as Denmark's #1 leading dance studio for international and national teachers and students and segments its audience horizontally across skill levels (experienced dancers, beginners, advanced dancers, aspiring professionals) and demographics (children and adults). The firm employs 5 people and operates with a lean structure anchored by the Allingham Dance Team network across Fyn and Syd Jylland.
