Dakspecialist Dapan

What Dakspecialist Dapan does

Dakspecialist Dapan B.V. is a Dutch specialty contractor focused exclusively on sloped (hellende) roofs, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Malden, Gelderland. The firm delivers complete roof solutions — encompassing roof construction, tile roofing, zinc gutters, and integrated solar panels — to Dutch housing corporations, municipalities, and general contractors across both new-build and renovation projects. Day-to-day operations involve approximately 80 specialized craftsmen, supported by a small administrative team, executing project-based engagements nationwide. Since March 2024 the company has operated as part of Wessels Bouwgroep, a diversified construction group of 8 specialist building-envelope companies covering facades and roofs.

Dapan's service catalog is structured around two main lines — Hellend dak Nieuwbouw (new construction) and Hellend dak Renovatie (renovation) — supplemented by product components including Pannendaken (tile roofs), Dakconstructie (roof structures), Goten & Gootconstructie (zinc gutters), and Zonnepanelen (solar panels). The company is a preferred supplier for Heijmans' Wevolt X-Roof integrated solar-roof system and is engaged on disclosed major projects including 282 homes at Tuindorp Hillegom with Timpaan, 48 apartments in Breda with Van Wijnen Rosmalen, 53 homes in Krimpen aan den IJssel with Heembouw Wonen for QuaWonen, and the Park Vijfsluizen program in Vlaardingen with Heijmans.

The business model is professional-services / project-based: revenue is generated through quote-driven, multi-year contracts scoped to individual construction or renovation engagements, with no publicly disclosed standard pricing. Customer segments are horizontal — housing corporations, municipalities, and contractors — and pricing is bespoke. The company is differentiated by multiple sector certifications (KOMO, VCA, FSC, Dakmeester, and WKB readiness) that serve as procurement prerequisites for Dutch public and institutional clients, and by its integration within Wessels Bouwgroep, which provides cross-referral capacity across 8 sister companies.
