What Elite Photos - Elite Photographics Qld does

Elite Photographics is a Brisbane-based professional photography studio operating since 1990, specializing in "people photography" across graduation ceremonies, school formals, studio headshots, and mobile photo booth services. The company was founded by Chris Marr and acquired in 2016 by current Director Doug Raisin, who brought prior experience from Streets Imaging and Capricorn Photography. The firm is privately held with 7 employees and operates from a primary studio in West End, Brisbane, plus a pickup location in Indooroopilly, serving the Queensland market. Named institutional customers include Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Christian Heritage College (CHC), and JMC Academy.

Core products span five service lines: graduation ceremony photography (stage crossings, certificate presentations, and studio portraits with family), formal photography for school events (individual, couple, and large-group shots of 300+ subjects), private studio sittings for graduates who cannot attend ceremonies, tiered studio headshot/corporate portrait packages, and a mobile photo booth service with customizable backdrops and instant prints. Underlying technology consists of an online gallery platform for photo delivery and ordering, standard digital image processing and editing workflows, and a trademarked "Elite Sequence" of poses used to standardize output quality across formal sessions. The studio maintains an extensive inventory of academic dress (gowns and hoods) for client use.

Revenue mechanics combine a "free-session, paid-product" model at events with direct unit-priced studio packages. Event photography sessions are complimentary, with revenue generated on prints, digital files, storyboard mounts, hardcover books, and print packs. Studio headshots are priced at $160 (Single CV), $240 (Trio Pack), and $360 (9-image Variety Pack); private sittings are $85 and archive retrieval is $50. Go-to-market is primarily event-driven through institutional partnerships — schools distribute registration links to students — supplemented by a direct-to-consumer online gallery ordering flow with Australia Post delivery. Products are also available for studio pickup in Indooroopilly.
