Escola d´esqui y snowboard Grandvalira Soldeu // Soldeu El Tarter Grandvalira Ski School

What Escola d´esqui y snowboard Grandvalira Soldeu // Soldeu El Tarter Grandvalira Ski School does

Escola d'esqui y snowboard Grandvalira Soldeu (also doing business as Soldeu El Tarter Grandvalira Ski School) is the official ski and snowboard instructional operation of Grandvalira Resorts, the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees, located in Soldeu and El Tarter in the parish of Canillo, Andorra. Founded in 1964, the school employs approximately 37 staff and delivers a comprehensive curriculum of ski and snowboard lessons, including group classes, private lessons for adults and juniors, private freestyle coaching, dedicated children's programs (half-day and full-day), and a premium "Top Class" tier staffed by elite certified instructors. Support services include on-site childcare (nursery and kindergarten) and equipment rental for durations of 1 to 15 days, enabling the school to serve the full family ski-vacation lifecycle.

The business operates on a direct-to-consumer model, with customers booking through the Grandvalira website (hoteles.grandvalira.com) or the GrandValira mobile app on iOS and Android, supported by the My GrandSki member portal that handles account creation, authentication (including Facebook OAuth), and reservation management in Spanish, Catalan, French, and English. The school sells standalone lessons, equipment rental, and childcare on a per-booking basis, while also participating in hotel-bundled packages (Hotel + Ski and Hotel + Activity) distributed through partner hotels. Customer concentration is dispersed across individual leisure travelers from Andorra, Spain, France, Portugal, and the United Kingdom, with no enterprise or recurring B2B contract layer visible. Beyond winter instruction, the operation extends into summer activities (bike passes, golf), an early signal of counter-seasonal revenue diversification within the Grandvalira resort complex.
