What Ida Lewis Yacht Club does

Ida Lewis Yacht Club is a private yacht club founded in 1928 and headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island, serving yachting enthusiasts and their families in the surrounding region. The club's core offering is a single membership product that provides access to waterfront facilities, social events, boat-related activities, and member services including a calendar of events, document management, boat registration, and member communications. The organization operates on a seasonal basis with defined hours of operation, and prospective members apply directly through the club rather than through third-party distribution channels. The club employs approximately six people and runs a lean operating model oriented around community engagement rather than commercial scale.

The club's digital infrastructure is powered entirely by Clubspot, a third-party club management software platform that provides website hosting, a member portal, calendar functionality, document management, and communication features. There are no proprietary technology assets, no patents or trademarks disclosed, and no AI/ML capabilities indicated. The business model is exclusively recurring subscription revenue from membership dues; no pricing is publicly disclosed. Marketing is conducted through the Clubspot-powered website, with distribution limited to direct membership applications from regional prospects in the Newport, RI market. There are no public funding rounds, no M&A activity, no parent company, and no institutional ownership disclosed in the available materials.
