ISEN Centro Universitario

What ISEN Centro Universitario does

ISEN Centro Universitario is a private cultural foundation (fundación cultural privada) operating as a Faculty affiliated to the University of Murcia, located in Cartagena, Spain. Founded in 1983, the institution delivers official undergraduate and master's degrees in Education (Early Childhood and Primary, including a bilingual English track) and Security/Criminology, plus a postgraduate international program in Security and Strategic Intelligence. Programs are offered both in-person at the Cartagena campus and online through the University of Murcia's virtual campus, with a portfolio spanning roughly 240–360 ECTS undergraduate degrees, a 60 ECTS master's, and a 6.6 ECTS international continuing-education program. Technology is limited to standard LMS delivery via UMU infrastructure; no proprietary software, apps, or API products are disclosed.

The business model centers on tuition revenue, structured as a hybrid of public and private pricing: students pay 25% of the University of Murcia's public fee schedule plus an undisclosed private fee component, with annual billing and bank financing options via Sabadell Consumer, CaixaBank, and Cajamar. Students apply through UMU's centralized pre-inscription portal, and ISEN handles in-person enrollment support at its campus. Marketing runs through its own website and social channels (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X), UMU's admission channels, educational events, and local media. Distribution is primarily domestic (Spain) with emerging international reach into Mexico, the Philippines, and Germany via academic partnerships. Customer concentration is low, as revenue is spread across individual student cohorts with no enterprise anchor accounts.
