Ort Kiryat Bialik college

What Ort Kiryat Bialik college does

Ort Kiryat Bialik College is an Israeli vocational and technical education institution operating as one of 41 campuses within the ORT network, a nonprofit educational organization with over 70 years of operating history, more than 12,000 active students nationwide, and over 100,000 cumulative graduates. The Kiryat Bialik campus, located in northern Israel and founded as part of the network established in 1950, specializes in two-year engineering technician (הנדסאי מה"ט) certification programs spanning architecture and construction, electrical and electronics, mechanical engineering, software, and management disciplines, augmented by AI certification and international credentials integrated into curricula.

The college's core product portfolio comprises four primary study programs: the Mahat engineering technician track (two-year professional certification), the Technological Reserve (עתודה טכנולוגית) program for grades 13–14 integrating military service with technical education, short-term professional certificate courses in trades such as welding, electrical work, construction management, and bookkeeping, and bachelor's degree completion bridges for engineering technicians. Supporting infrastructure includes the ORT Online distance-learning platform, Yedion student and lecturer information portals, and an examination solutions service (pitronort.org.il). Technology operates as standard educational tooling rather than proprietary AI development; the AI certification is curriculum content, not a built product.

The revenue model is tuition-driven across the engineering technician, certificate, and degree-completion programs, supplemented by scholarship funding including 90% tuition coverage for discharged soldiers through the Released Soldiers Fund (קרן לחיילים משוחררים) and registration-fee exemptions during open days. Go-to-market is community-led and event-driven, relying on referrals (a 'friend brings friend' scholarship program), open days (the next scheduled for 21.7.26), WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger direct outreach, social media presence on Facebook and YouTube, and specialized recruitment into the Haredi and Bedouin communities through dedicated preparation programs. Customer segments span high school graduates seeking vocational certification, IDF personnel and discharged soldiers, working professionals seeking trade credentials, and existing engineering technicians pursuing bachelor's completion.
