What Khosla Associates does
Khosla Associates is a Bangalore-based architecture and interior design practice founded in 1995 by Sandeep Khosla. The firm delivers integrated design services spanning architecture, interior design, landscape, furniture design, and lighting design. Its client base is bifurcated between high-net-worth individual residential clients and institutional/commercial customers including Biocon, Westbridge Capital, The Park Hotels, Nike, MTV, Hard Rock Café, Delhi Public School, and The Doon School — covering residential, corporate workplace, hospitality, retail, and educational institution segments.
The studio operates under an explicit "India Modern" design philosophy emphasising contextual, climate-sensitive, and tropical design principles. Its project portfolio spans more than 12 Indian states and includes select international work, most notably a Maldives project. The firm is led by founder Sandeep Khosla alongside Principal & Partner Amaresh Anand, supported by four principal-level team leads indicating a structured but boutique organisation.
Revenue is generated through project-based professional service fees across the segments above. The firm has augmented its core architecture practice with a parallel furniture, lighting, and accessories venture called tsk Design (co-led with the founder's spouse), creating an ecosystem extension into product design. Khosla Associates has accumulated 30+ national and international awards, six consecutive AD100/AD50 listings, and authored book publications, all of which support a reputation-led, inbound go-to-market model with no conventional sales infrastructure.
