Liceo Scientifico Federigo Enriques

What Liceo Scientifico Federigo Enriques does

Liceo Scientifico Statale "Federigo Enriques" is a public Italian secondary school (Liceo Statale) operating under the supervision of the Ministero dell'Istruzione e del Merito (Ministry of Education and Merit). It is located in the Ostia Lido coastal district of Rome (Municipio X) and delivers two five-year curricula: a traditional Liceo Scientifico (scientific lyceum with mathematics, physics, natural sciences, and Latin) and a Liceo Linguistico (language lyceum with intensive study of English, French, German, and Spanish). The school operates across three physical sites — the main headquarters on Via Federico Paolini, the Succursale Olivieri on Via Angelo Olivieri (housing classrooms, science/computer/language laboratories, library, auditorium, and gymnasium), and the Succursale Acilia on Via Andrea da Garessio.

The institution does not generate commercial revenue. Education is provided free of charge, with operations financed through Italian Ministry of Education budgetary allocations. Its digital infrastructure is built primarily on third-party platforms rather than proprietary systems: the AXIOS Cloud electronic register (electronic gradebook, attendance, family communications), EIPASS for IT-skills certification, Padlet for orientation workflows, and a KepleroIA-powered text chatbot for website inquiries. From 1 September 2026, access to AXIOS digital services will require SPID or CIE national digital identity authentication. The school participates in EU mobility programs (Erasmus+), national recovery-funded programs (PON, PNRR), and the Municipality of Rome's Scuole Aperte community engagement initiative.

Governance is led by Dirigente Scolastico (Principal) Prof.ssa Monica Bernard and Direttore dei Servizi Generali e Amministrativi (DSGA) Claudia Croce. Customer-facing segments are enrollment-bound: prospective students and families in the surrounding Municipio X catchment, current students across both lyceo tracks, and families/guardians who interact with the school for academic and administrative matters. The school's strategic posture is that of a stable, compliance-driven public institution focused on incremental digital-service adoption rather than commercial expansion.
