Manfeild Park Trust

What Manfeild Park Trust does

Manfeild Park Trust is a New Zealand-registered charitable trust that operates a multi-purpose event venue on approximately 72 hectares of land in Feilding, Manawatū, holding the Manfeild brand and the Manfeild: Circuit Chris Amon motorsport facility (renamed in 2016 after the local Formula One driver). The Trust was established in October 2004 when the Manawatu District Council, the Feilding Industrial, Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and the Manawatu Car Club deeded their land holdings into a single entity tasked with developing the circuit and adjoining multi-purpose facilities.

Its core product portfolio comprises the motorsport circuit, the Manfeild Stadium (an indoor multi-purpose venue), the Manfeild Outdoor Arena, and dedicated infrastructure for conferences, meetings, exhibitions, concerts, equestrian events, and agricultural events including the Central Districts Field Days which draws approximately 500 exhibitors annually. Booking is handled through a direct online system (Manfeild Bookings) for track, camp, and garage rentals and a venue enquiry form for event hire, with pricing quote-based rather than publicly disclosed.

The Trust generates revenue primarily by renting its facilities to event organisers, racing teams, equestrian clubs, agribusinesses, corporates, and community organisations across motorsport, equestrian, agricultural, concert, conference, and exhibition verticals. Operating funding is supplemented by a diversified sponsor base that includes Toyota as a corporate partner alongside multiple community and regional funders (Pub Charity, NZCT, Central Energy Trust, Eastern & Central Community Trust, Horizons Regional Council, and Mainland Foundation). With a 14-person staff spanning CEO, events, operations/compliance, facilities/maintenance, and administration functions, the venue is run as a community-anchored trust rather than a profit-maximising enterprise, and is actively operating as of the source period.
