VB Rørlegger'n AS

What VB Rørlegger'n AS does

VB Rørlegger'n AS is a Norwegian plumbing services and retail company headquartered at Porsgrunnsvegen 304, Skien, in continuous operation since 1984. The firm operates as a member of the nationwide VB (Vann, varme og energi) cooperative network and delivers VVS (sanitation, heating, and ventilation) installation, repair, and maintenance services alongside retail sales of plumbing fixtures, bathroom furniture, and heating equipment from a physical showroom. Service coverage spans the Telemark and Vestfold counties in southeastern Norway.

The customer base is segmented into three groups: residential homeowners seeking bathroom renovations and plumbing repairs; housing cooperatives (borettslag) requiring maintenance contracts, sprinkler systems, and pipe rehabilitation; and commercial property developers — including named reference clients Skien Boligbyggelag and Conceptor Eiendomsutvikling — needing new-construction plumbing. The product portfolio spans bathtubs (including indoor jacuzzis and premium outdoor spas up to ~NOK 207,690), bathroom furniture from brands such as Fossbad, Linn Bad, Vedum, Vikingbad, Dansani, and INR Norge, mixer faucets, showers, toilets, mirrors and lighting, and heating/indoor-climate products including water-borne heating, air/air and air/water heat pumps, radiators, gas systems, solar heating, and water heaters.

Revenue is generated through two streams: one-time product sales from the showroom (priced individually or with installation bundled under the Ferdig VB Montert label) and professional services revenue from installation, repair, maintenance, and 24/7 emergency call-outs via the vakttelefon. The business holds five Norwegian regulatory credentials — approved master craftsman, gas technician class 1, wet room company, STARTBANK prequalification, and apprenticeship-company status — that collectively gate access to regulated plumbing and gas work. The firm employs 35+ staff, with a discrepancy against the firmographic headcount of 14 that should be reconciled during diligence.
