Seaside Center for Spiritual Living

What Seaside Center for Spiritual Living does

Seaside Center for Spiritual Living is a non-profit spiritual community organization founded in 1988 and headquartered in Encinitas, California, within the Centers for Spiritual Living network. It offers weekly Sunday Celebration Services (9 am and 11 am, with the 11 am service livestreamed), a Wednesday Inner Light Service, Youth and Family Ministry, education programs including the School of Spiritual Leadership and a Path to Becoming a Licensed Practitioner, licensed spiritual practitioner sessions, prayer support, connection groups, and facility rentals for events and weddings. The organization follows the Science of Mind / affirmative prayer tradition and serves individual spiritual seekers, families with children, and aspiring practitioners and ministers.

The organization's technology stack is minimal and non-proprietary: it runs on Breeze (church management), Eventbrite (event ticketing), PayPal, Venmo, and text-to-give for donations, plus a Patreon account, and uses YouTube and its own website for livestream distribution of services, which it reports reaches over 5,000 viewers across platforms. It is staffed by approximately 6 paid employees plus a network of volunteer Licensed Spiritual Practitioners (RScP), with ministries led by Rev. Dr. Christian Sorensen (Senior Minister) and Rev. Rebecca Berry, and functional leadership covering Youth and Family, Education, Digital Communications, Office Administration, IT, and Livestream/Artistic direction.

Commercially, Seaside is a donation-driven non-profit. Revenue streams include voluntary tithes and donations (the primary source), one-time facility rentals for weddings and events, and recurring/subscription-style fees for education and workshop registrations; these are not publicly disclosed. Distribution is hybrid: in-person at the Encinitas campus and globally via livestream, with outreach practitioners noted as serving a Mexican audience. The organization has no external investors, no parent company, and no disclosed funding rounds or M&A activity.
