What Southwinds Baptist Church does

Southwinds Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church located at 16811 FM 2920 in Tomball, Texas, founded on September 8, 1991 by Dr. Harold Clayton. It operates as a nonprofit religious organization on a 12-acre campus with 5 buildings, serving a multi-generational congregation through Sunday worship, Wednesday Bible study, and an extensive portfolio of age-graded ministries — High Gear Children's Ministries (Nursery through 6th grade with AWANA, Vacation Bible School, and Kid's Camp), Elevate Student Ministries (Junior High and High School), Adult Bible Fellowships, Men's Forged Ministry, Ladies Ministry, MOMS Ministry, and RightCare Senior Ministry. The church also operates a Mother's Day Out program for children 18 months to 4 years and references Southwinds Christian Academy as an adjacent weekday education offering.

The church's primary revenue model is voluntary tithes and offerings from congregation members, supplemented by tuition from the Mother's Day Out program ($130–$200/month per child plus registration fees) and member-only facility rentals across 7 distinct spaces on campus. Digital distribution includes a BreezeChMS online giving platform, an active YouTube channel (@SouthwindsBaptist) streaming Bible study recordings, and Facebook/Instagram accounts for community engagement. Outreach is executed through a Mission 360 program and direct support of 28 missionary families and 6 mission works globally, spanning London, Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, Bolivia, Germany, the Philippines, and others. Pastoral leadership is currently provided by Senior Pastor Andy Chute (the church's third senior pastor), supported by a small staff of 1–10 including an Administrative Pastor, Music & Media Pastor, Youth Pastor, Church Secretary, and Nursery Director.
