St. Louis Catholic Church- Pittsford, NY

What St. Louis Catholic Church- Pittsford, NY does

St. Louis Catholic Church is a non-profit Catholic parish located at 64 South Main Street in Pittsford, New York, operating under the canonical authority of the Diocese of Rochester. The parish traces its origins to the first recorded Mass in Pittsford in 1856, was formally established as a mission in 1871, acquired its own church building around 1884, and was elevated to full parish status in the early 1900s. It serves the general parish community, families and individuals, K-12 youth and their families, adults pursuing faith formation (including those entering the Church through OCIA), and refugees and immigrants served through its Saint's Place ministry.

The parish's service portfolio spans the seven Catholic sacraments (Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders, Anointing the Sick), daily and weekend Mass with multiple scheduled services, faith formation for grades K-7, youth ministry for grades 8-12, CYO athletics, adult Bible studies and small groups, marriage and funeral planning, hospital ministry, and outreach programs such as Helping Haiti and the Habitat Interfaith Partnership. It operates St. Louis School as an adjacent operating subsidiary providing Catholic education from Pre-K through Grade 5. Supporting digital infrastructure includes the stlouischurch.org website, a dedicated mobile application, active Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube channels, an online giving platform, and access to the FORMED Catholic content library.

The parish is funded through a distributed model typical of Catholic parishes: weekly offertory collections, online giving, school tuition at St. Louis School, sacramental and program fees, and special appeals such as the Catholic Mutual Appeal (CMA). It does not publish revenue figures. The Diocese of Rochester exercises canonical and administrative oversight, including clergy appointments, while day-to-day operations are run by a small staff of approximately 10 employees including a Finance Manager. There is no AI or proprietary technology capability in evidence; the parish uses standard parish-management software and common content platforms.
