Tennisklub Grün-Weiss Mannheim

What Tennisklub Grün-Weiss Mannheim does

Tennisklub Grün-Weiss Mannheim is a non-profit tennis club based in Mannheim, Germany, operating the informational website tennisklub.de. The club's only documented activity is content publication about beach tennis (Beachtennis) — a sport that blends elements of tennis, beach volleyball, and badminton, played barefoot on an 8x16m sand court with a 1.70–1.80m net, unstrung carbon/Kevlar/fiberglass paddles, and pressure-reduced Stage 2 tennis balls, typically as mixed doubles where rallies end on the first ground contact.

The website covers the rules and equipment requirements of beach tennis, tournament schedules (including the 7th Beach Tennis Open Saarlouis, August 12–18, 2024, hosting both the German Championships and a top-category ITF event), German ranking lists published by the DTB (Deutscher Tennis Bund), and Baden regional league results administered via the BTV (Badischer Tennis-Verband) since 2019. It also curates an equipment sourcing directory linking to paddle retailers across Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Spain, addressing the stated gap that beach tennis paddles are not stocked in standard German sports stores.

The business model is explicitly non-commercial. The club states on its website that it carries no advertising, uses no sponsored links, earns no money from the site, and therefore has no legal impressum obligation. Contact is limited to an email channel to a website administrator. There are no disclosed pricing tiers, memberships, sponsorship deals, fundraising rounds, or revenue figures; headcount is listed at five. The club's affiliations with DTB, BTV, ITF, and IFBT function as informational references rather than commercial partnerships.
