UNIVERS DES PETITS

What UNIVERS DES PETITS does

UNIVERS DES PETITS is a privately-held French micro-crèche network operating under the PAJE (Prestation d'Accueil du Jeune Enfant) system on the Côte d'Azur. Founded in October 2010 with the Arc-en-Ciel location in Cagnes-sur-Mer, the company has grown to seven micro-crèches across four cities — Cagnes-sur-Mer (3), Carros (2), Nice (1), and Antibes (1) — with each facility licensed to accommodate 10 to 12 children aged 3 to 36 months per location. The company is self-described as an 'entreprise à taille humaine' (human-sized enterprise) focused on creating and managing childcare facilities that emphasize individualized reception, safety, and child development, operating weekdays from 8h00 to 18h30 with five annual closure weeks (four in August, one at Christmas).

The operating model is direct-to-consumer, with families pre-registering through per-location Meeko.site forms and accessing an authenticated Meeko Family parent portal for daily communications, photos, and document sharing. The company website is built on WordPress CMS, developed and maintained by Annecy-based agency CREATION SITE ANNECY, and integrates the Meeko registration and communication platforms as core operational infrastructure. The network runs under a unified Pédagogical Project (Projet Pédagogique) covering reception, meals, diaper changes, naps, departures, nutritional standards, and medical monitoring.

Revenue is generated through subscription-based hourly childcare fees billed monthly, calculated on weekly contracted hours over 47 weeks per year, with an €80 annual registration fee. Families can access CAF (Caisse d'Allocations Familiales) subsidies and claim tax credits for childcare expenses under the PAJE tariff framework. Dayema SOUSSOU, Puéricultrice RSAI, serves as the principal on-site medical/pedagogical coordinator and content author. The company is believed to be founder/owner-operated with no disclosed external investment, parent company, or institutional ownership.
