WOODCREST BAPTIST CHURCH OF FRIDLEY MINN

What WOODCREST BAPTIST CHURCH OF FRIDLEY MINN does

Woodcrest Baptist Church is an independent, private religious nonprofit organization established in 2022 and located at 6875 University Avenue in Fridley, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. It operates a single campus and serves a local congregation through weekly Sunday morning Bible Study (9:30 am) and Morning Worship Service (10:45 am), a Wednesday Evening Service (7:00 pm) with themed teachings such as "Overcoming Fear," a Midweek Service combined with Youth Group, Ladies Bible Study, and a Mommy & Me Club for mothers and young children. The pastoral staff is led by Senior Pastor Mark Poorman, with Caleb Gillespie as Associate/Music Pastor and Mark Poorman, Jr. as Youth Pastor/School Administrator.

The church's product and service portfolio is built around in-person worship and small-group ministry programs, with no proprietary software platform; the underlying "technology" is a standard WordPress/YooTheme website (woodcrestbaptistchurch.org) supplemented by Facebook and YouTube livestreams for remote attendance. The church operates Woodcrest Baptist Academy as a wholly-owned subsidiary providing Christian education on-site, with separate office phone numbers and a dedicated website. The business model is donation-based: revenue is derived from individual member tithes and offerings collected in-person and through the EasyTithe online giving platform. There is no disclosed pricing structure, no app, no API integrations, and no patents, partnerships, or awards identified in the available data.

The church's go-to-market motion is community-oriented and local, anchored by a stated mission to address personal pain points (fear, lack of meaning, need for forgiveness, freedom from guilt) and to welcome "people from every walk of life." Marketing is conducted through organic social channels (Facebook and YouTube livestreams), the website, and a published calendar of events. Operating geographies are limited to Fridley, Minnesota, with no global footprint claim beyond the online livestream audience. The entity is governed by pastoral leadership under the Senior Pastor, with no parent company, institutional ownership, or funding rounds disclosed.

Relevant as a broad incumbent that provides (in affiliated congregations) the denominational support, resources, and accountability that an independent Baptist church forgoes.
