What YRF Studios does

YRF Studios is the in-house film production and post-production facility of Yash Raj Films, one of India's largest privately held entertainment conglomerates founded in 1970 by Yash Chopra and currently controlled by the Chopra family (Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra). Opened in 2005 in Mumbai, the studio was designed by acoustic engineer Martin Pilchner of Pilchner Schoustal International (USA) and operates as a B2B service platform with three sound stages — the largest at 142'x80'x29' and the only complete soundproof and air-conditioned indoor shooting complex in India — plus an Audio Wing featuring two recording studios (80-piece orchestra capacity on AMS NEVE 88R, 24-musician capacity on AMS NEVE LIBRA Music 96), a Dolby-approved film mix theatre for 5.1/7.1/Atmos, and a 116-seat preview theatre with Christie 4K projection. yFX Studios, established in 2016 as a wholly owned subsidiary, adds visual effects, 3D animation, compositing, matte painting, and nascent AR/VR services on Maya/Houdini/Nuke/Flame pipelines with a dedicated render farm.
