What BH Design Build does
BH Design Build is a privately held residential design-and-build contractor founded in 2014 and headquartered in Mohnton, Pennsylvania, with operations concentrated in Berks and Chester counties. The firm delivers an integrated design-build service model, combining in-house architectural design with construction execution under a single contract to eliminate the typical coordination burden on homeowners of hiring separate architects and builders.
The company's product surface is organized around three service lines: Home Transformations (renovation and remodeling of existing residences), Custom Homes (ground-up construction tailored to client specifications), and Kitchens (specialized kitchen remodeling). It does not sell licensed software or proprietary technology; its differentiator is operational — a refined process that the team describes as having been perfected across more than 100 completed projects, supported by prompt communication and budget discipline. Marketing and lead generation rely on an Instagram handle (@bh.designbuild), a Facebook page, a portfolio-driven website (bhdesignbuild.com), and a direct 'book a consult' call-to-action. The firm uses Squarespace for its web presence.
BH Design Build generates revenue through project-based, quote-priced contracts with residential homeowners. Pricing is not publicly disclosed and varies by project scope, materials, and complexity; there are no standard tiers or recurring SaaS-style contracts. The company is independently owned with no disclosed parent entity, no institutional investors, no funding rounds, and no M&A activity. Founder Ben Horning leads a team of 11-50 employees, and ownership is described as bootstrapped and team-held. No revenue, headcount growth metrics, or financial statements are publicly available.
