Direct peers

• AAU Basketball (Amateur Athletic Union): U.S. amateur basketball tournament and league organizer running grassroots-level competitions and cups for youth and amateur players. Most analogous on the amateur multi-format tournament operator model.
• Baller League: Startup-format indoor basketball league concept that organizes grassroots-style competition and content around it. Comparably structured around short-format, culturally driven basketball events, though at a larger and more commercial scale.

Others

• FIBA 3x3: International governing circuit for 3×3 basketball, running the global 3×3 tour and qualifier system. Relevant as the upstream institutional body whose promotion of the format directly benefits organizers like Lääne-Virumaa Kossuliiga running local 3×3 events.
• Eesti Korvpalliliit (Estonian Basketball Association): National governing body for basketball in Estonia, running the country's league pyramid and cup competitions. Not a direct competitor at the amateur county level, but the upstream body whose competitions and resources shape the environment Lääne-Virumaa Kossuliiga operates within.

Emerging players

• BIG3: Professional 3-on-3 basketball league. Comparable on the 3×3 basketball format that Lääne-Virumaa Kossuliiga also offers, though BIG3 operates at a professional paid-spectator level rather than amateur regional play.
