CP DESIGN

What CP DESIGN does

CP Design, operating as C P Architectural Design, LLC, is a founder-led residential architectural design firm headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, serving homeowners across the Denver metro area. Founded approximately in 1989 by a principal known as "Chip," the firm specializes in full custom home designs, major remodels, and additions, with a portfolio that also includes specialty projects such as yoga studios and container cabins. Services span initial client consultations and conceptual design through construction document preparation and full preconstruction phase coordination, including engineering coordination, construction specifications, bidding, budgeting, and permitting.

The firm's go-to-market is direct-to-consumer: it establishes individual relationships with each homeowner through initial consultations, then delivers custom designs tailored to the client's vision. Revenue is generated entirely through professional architectural design fees on a project-by-project basis, with pricing not publicly disclosed and contracts structured per engagement. The principal's more than 35 years of building industry experience, including deep familiarity with local Colorado codes and zoning parameters, is the primary selling point cited across client testimonials.

Operationally, CP Design is a small practice of 1-10 employees with no disclosed institutional ownership, no outside funding, and no parent company. Its digital presence runs primarily through Houzz, where it maintains a Houzz Pro profile for portfolio hosting, client reviews, and business operations, and has received recognitions including Best of Houzz 2025 for Client Satisfaction and Recommended on Houzz. The firm's strategic posture is that of a stable, reputation-driven local boutique rather than a scaling enterprise, with all activity concentrated in the Colorado residential market.
