What Druckerei Weidner does

Druckerei Weidner is a privately held commercial printing company headquartered in Rostock, Germany. The legal entity, Druckerei Weidner Nachfolger GmbH, was founded by Kurt Weidner in 1993 and is currently led by Managing Director Jörg Schröder. The company operates from a single production site at Carl-Hopp-Straße 15 in Rostock, serving a regionally concentrated B2B customer base across Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and broader Germany.

The company's product offering spans the full print production value chain: prepress services (layout, typesetting, image reproduction, digital proofing, Computer-to-Plate in 70/80 line screen or FM screening); offset printing to PSO standard (ISO 12647-2) with 15 printing units up to 75x105 cm and inline dispersion coating; digital printing up to SRA3 with optional white, gold, silver, and varnish inks; large-format printing up to A0; finishing including lamination, blind and hot-foil embossing, contour and laser cutting, and specialty lacquers; binding including Wire-O, hardcover, saddle stitch, adhesive, and thread binding; and in-house logistics with own delivery vehicles, mailing, and kitting. The HEIMAT Mecklenburg-Vorpommern calendar is a proprietary branded retail/B2B product with published tier pricing. Certifications include FSC, natureOffice, and PCM, supporting a sustainability positioning for environmentally conscious B2B buyers.

Druckerei Weidner generates revenue through project-based, quote-driven custom print contracts (brochures, catalogs, business stationery, corporate publishing, books, calendars) for publishers, tourism and hospitality clients (including AIDA Cruises and regional hotels), advertising agencies, cultural institutions, government (Landtag M-V), and manufacturing customers (Kronotex). The go-to-market is sales-led direct B2B contact via phone, email, and the company website, with no e-commerce or self-service ordering. Pricing is per project based on specifications, quantities, paper, and finishing; the HEIMAT calendar carries published unit pricing with volume tiers. The company is independently owned with no disclosed external investors, no subsidiaries, and no recorded M&A or funding activity.
