Descriptiontext

The Detroit Regional Chamber is a private, non-profit chamber of commerce founded in 1903 and headquartered at One Kennedy Square, 777 Woodward Ave., Suite 800, Detroit, Michigan, with 101–250 employees. It describes itself as one of the oldest, largest, and most respected chambers of commerce in the United States and acts as the voice for business across an 11-county Southeast Michigan region. Its membership base spans Fortune 500 companies through small businesses, structured into four tiers (Signature, Premier, General, Business Builder IBB) on annual subscription billing, with pricing quoted rather than publicly disclosed.

The Chamber's product surface is programmatic rather than technological. Core offerings include MichAuto (a statewide automotive and mobility cluster association), the nationally recognized Mackinac Policy Conference and Detroit Policy Conference, and a comprehensive Education & Talent strategy encompassing TalentEd, Detroit Drives Degrees, Detroit Promise, Leadership Detroit, and career pathway programs. Supporting services include a Membership Portal for event registration and account management, a searchable Member Directory, research publications (State of the Region, State of Education and Talent, State of Automobility Report), the Detroiter Magazine, Economic Equity & Inclusion initiatives (including the NeighborHUB Grant Program and Detroit Voices Data Dashboard), and a public policy advocacy function with bill tracking, polling, and a PAC. Strategic partners include Boston Consulting Group (AI Office Hours), Harvard Business School (Young American Leaders Program), and EY (Entrepreneur Of The Year awards).

Revenue mechanics combine membership dues, event and conference sponsorships (centered on Mackinac), programmatic grants (Michigan Economic Development Corporation, New Economy Initiative), and partner-supported programming. The Chamber's geographic footprint is concentrated in Southeast Michigan, with one recent extension of an awards program into Northwest Ohio, and it operates no public APIs or technology products. There are no audited revenue figures disclosed in the available data, so financial scale must be inferred from headcount, event cadence, and peer benchmarks.
