What RC America does

RC America LP is a privately held US distributor of premium radio-controlled (RC) racing products, founded in 2002 and headquartered at 2030 Century Center Blvd #15, Irving, Texas. The company operates as the US distribution channel for three Slovak-owned premium brands: XRAY (racing vehicle kits), HUDY (precision tools and setup systems), and FX Engines (nitro racing engines), with Gravity RC carried as a secondary sub-brand. Its business model is asset-light distribution: complete kits are ordered through a US-wide dealer network, while replacement parts, accessories, and consumables are sold directly through the rcamerica.com e-commerce storefront built on the K-E Commerce platform.

The product portfolio spans complete racing kits (flagship XB8E'26 priced at $749.00), more than 50 vehicle platforms across 1/8, 1/10, and 1/12 scale disciplines (buggies, truggies, pan cars, touring cars, micro), nitro and electric powertrains, electronics, tires, tools, setup systems, slot car products, and team apparel. Technical differentiators highlighted on the website include Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum construction, HUDY proprietary spring steel components, and maintenance-free gear differential designs. Pricing is per-unit, publicly disclosed, and ranges from approximately $6 for small consumables (springs, shims) to $138+ for higher-value assemblies, with kits in the mid-three-figure to low-four-figure range. The customer base is split between primary segment competitive RC racers (persona) and secondary hobbyists, served via a horizontal segmentation approach with no disclosed enterprise accounts.
