Descriptiontext

Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG) is the indigenous commercial bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, founded in 1977 as National Commercial Bank (SVG) Ltd. and headquartered in Kingstown. It operates 9 branches spanning the mainland and the Grenadine islands, supported by 15 ATM locations, approximately 20 ATMs, and more than 500 point-of-sale terminals, plus an exchange bureau at Argyle International Airport. The bank serves retail depositors, SMEs, corporate clients, and the Vincentian diaspora through savings and chequing accounts, foreign currency accounts, mortgages, personal and commercial loans, Visa credit cards priced at roughly 19.5% APR, wire transfers, merchant services, and a full-service brokerage and securities dealership that it has operated as the only such license holder in SVG since 2001.

Revenue is generated from multiple streams: net interest income on the loan book, transaction and account fees, credit card interchange, brokerage and wealth management commissions, wire transfer and foreign exchange income, merchant acquiring fees, and ATM/EFT fees. Distribution is hybrid, combining the physical branch and ATM/POS network with a digital suite branded "iBank" that supports online and mobile banking. The bank is ISO PCI certified for payment security, listed on the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange since June 10, 2016, and has a concentrated shareholding structure with the Government of SVG holding approximately 42.4%, ECFH Limited and the National Insurance Services each holding around 20%, and the balance held by the public and staff.

In March 2023 BOSVG acquired the SVG operations of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank, a transaction that materially expanded its customer base, deposits, and loan portfolio and continues to drive integration-led growth. Subsequent physical expansion has included Chateaubelair and Pembroke branches (December 2023) and recommissioned ATM services on Union Island (2025), alongside new senior leadership appointments across 2025-2026 and receipt of the 2025 ECCU Bank of the Year Award.
